My first Verghese read- and had the privilege of interviewing him about it! I love a family epic across generations and loved learning so much about kerala and India throughout this time period. Incredibly rich characters, beautiful themes and meditations on finding beauty and joy in life- loved the relationships and many reflections on race, caste, faith, medicine & love.
