This is the fourth book in the Discworld series and, like Equal Rites, one where we met another of the stalwart characters of the series. This time it is DEATH and yes, his name does need to be in capital letters.
You can really see Terry really getting his teeth into the possibilties the Discworld gives him for writing about humanity in interesting ways and although we’re still a way off the Terry who gave us Night Watch it is very clear this was written by someone who knows exactly what he’s doing and how best to make the points he wants to make without hammering anyone over the head with them.
