Money Shot, Vol. 1 by Sarah Beattie, Kurt Michael Russell, Tim Seeley, Rebekah Isaacs
3.0
Money Shot is a kind of goofy but ultimately unique sci-fi adventure in which a group of scientists essentially start an only fans to fund their space exploration. Although sex is one of the main themes of this book, the on page sex isn't nearly as graphic as the sex in, say, Saga. NGL that did kind of surprise me. I found the characters compelling, and I'm quite invested in their relationships with one another. The art in this book is great, it's playful in a way that perfectly matches the general unseriousness of this book.
Edit: upon reflection, I think I wanted more out of this book. I was expecting more of the science and space exploration that the sex is finding, but alas, we don't get much. I still like the character dynamics and will probably read the next volume, but I'm not sure how much more I'll read if I'm not obsessed.
