Honeydew: Stories by Edith Pearlman

4.0

This collection of short stories isn't quite as phenomenal as the author's previous work, Binocular Vision, but really, that isn't a reason to look away. I chose this title for my bookclub because there was an audiobook version available for the one person who only 'reads' on audio. Anyone who finds any of these stories marginally interesting, should head straight for the shelf with Binocular Vision and check that out. Edith Pearlman creates engaging characters with an economy of words. I read one story per day in order to prolong the enjoyment.
