Dirty Desire by Avril Ashton
3.0

Dax and Deacon are twins that have carried on a romantic and sexual relationship since they were 17. During those years, Deacon will run from time to time but he always comes back. The story starts during one of those times, Deacon coming back. Dax is fed up of the running at this point, it hurts him a lot and he can’t do it anymore. This is their last shot. Deacon has to work through his grief and guilt about their adoptive father and his role in his demise and the consequences of his adoptive fathers death, who was a pastor that preached a lot of fire and brimstone. These twins have found a family that loves and accepts them for who they are, and not only that but loves watching them together. Their found family pushes them together and helps to fix the issues. I really loved this story but it got three stars because of other issues, like the author forgot which twin was which. The paragraph would be talking about one and then slip the others name in, that got annoying. Then we kept getting all this drama from other characters and I get the author is setting up for the entire series but I would rather focus on the couple in front of me. Randomly throwing in a chapter from Priest’s POV threw me for a loop. So for those two reasons I had to give it 3 stars. Typically I love Avril Ashton’s work, the previous story I had read from her got 5 stars so I think this one for me was a little disappointing. But I would still recommend it and I still enjoyed reading it. If I could give a half star I would have given it 3.5 for sure.
