The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth
4.0

I picked this one out on a whim and wasn't disappointed! We have twins - Rose and Fern - who are each dealing with their issues as adults. Rose is trying to overcome some issues from childhood with her mother, while dealing with a crumbling marriage and desire to have a baby. Fern has sensory issues and works at a library. I loved her character - she was endearing, smart, and uber literal which added some sweetness and levity to a dark storyline. The sisters are close but trouble is afoot as the story unfolds.

There was nothing earth shattering about this psychological thriller, but something about the combination of Fern's neurodivergence and major life choices she makes against the backdrop of this thriller worked really well together. I did the audiobook version and I highly recommend.
