Despite the high rating, I read some bad reviews about this book. However, I read it anyway because I've found some amazing books with bad reviews previously hoping this would be like that, I WAS WRONG.
I wanted to dnf this book so hard, but I stayed for Aiden.
Lets go through some of my thoughts:
First things first, No Adam Connor doesn't owe you orgasm for saving his son Lucy.
Should he have focused on his son instead of getting Lucy arrested? Yes. But she WAS a freaking stalker. She took picture of them and everything.
“What will you do? What did you decide to do? With the baby, I mean.” Why are they mad? While I don’t like Jameson, he said the right thing. Her body, her choice. He didn’t imply she should get rid of it or that he didn’t want to be involved. He asked her what she decided, and they are angry? Wtf
Everyone is acting like Lucy deserves better than everyone but Adam is definitely the settler, Adam deserves better and Aidan deserves even more
Jesus and now Aidan isn’t even biological his, this book is a mess, it’s like the author wanted to put 5 books worth of drama into 1.
Who freaking surprises a commitment phobe with a surprise wedding?!
Oh and a baby in the end, why not?! it has literally everything else.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the 5 star reviews were bought. I'm gutted because I did like the first book.
