In the beginning, I loved the secrecy that Kieran has and that he is giving little crumbs to make Adeline come back for more, because she needs to know what he is talking about.
Okay, so I am writing this part at 63% in and I just can’t take it anymore. This book is literally one big repeat of the same thing over and over and over again. Wake up, do chores, go to the forest, meet with the Fae that is your mate, tell him you don’t believe him, go home, think about it incessantly, go to bed, wake up, do it all again.
Like I get that Adeline is from a poverty town, but like, cmon, how much more does Kieran have to prove that you are real mates before you believe it? Part of me wants to DNF but another part of me wants to see what actually happens because he keeps hinting that soon everything will change.
Update - completed the book last night and the only word that came to mind was finally. It ended on a cliffhanger that I think everyone saw coming and was not a surprise at all.
All opinions are my own.
