Hidden Waters by Catherine Cowles

I know I’m in the minority, but I just didn’t love this. I usually really enjoy a good small town romance. It’s one of my favorite tropes. This was my first book by this author and honestly I was just so bored. I don’t know if it was her writing style, the story or that I wasn’t familiar with the interconnected characters from previous books, but I skimmed thru a lot of this just to get to the end.

When I don’t feel a connection and/or chemistry between the main love interests or the story is boring and/or repetitive, I skim because I have a hard time stopping books that I’ve already started. This has an “if you’ve read one small town romance, you’ve read them all” type vibe. Just didn’t stand out for me, but you may love it.
