The Rise of Magicks
by Nora Roberts
This book was just so disappointingly bad. Between the 19 year old giving Braveheart speeches, the pages and pages of everyone standing around talking about what to do, the complete lack of chemistry between the leads who were Fated To Be Together, and the battles that were all won almost instantly; there was so much promise from the first two books that was all just wasted here.
Fallon’s team is good and everyone else is bad and out to get them. Major character deaths were telegraphed chapters ahead of time.
It felt like this book was written by a different person than the other two. What a waste.
