I never expected to love this book as much as I did. Once I started reading, I only put it down when I absolutely had to. It was somewhat difficult to get into the first bit where all the worldbuilding is getting laid out because it’s given all at once and feels heavy handed, but it ends up working out so well. As a certified Arthurian legend girly, I loved how this built on the legends and subverted expectations.
