Wow! "The House Plant: A Short Story" knows how to pack the emotional punch into its incredibly short story. Typically I read horror but when I was approached by Jeremy Ray asking if I wanted to read his newest short I said yes. I previously read his "The Gathering" which was a short horror story last year that I loved. This one though, this one really hits in the gut and you can't ever look at a house plant the same again. A creative new look into what the plants around you are thinking I found to be extremely creative and unheard of. Giving life and human characteristics could've been a hit or miss and it was a hands down hit!
