I really liked the way the two main characters interacted during their fake relationship. Fake relationships is one of my favorite tropes, but it can be easily ruined depending on how the characters are with each other. This book was also peppered in with a healthy dose of grumpy/sunshine dynamics, which was also done really well. I loved the will-they-won't-they throughout the story and I loved seeing Jack warm up to Rose and absolutely melted when he was helping her deal with her anxieties with going to the doctor and all the stress that was weighing on her. Seeing that kind of comfort just warms my heart like nothing else.
The only thing that made me take away a star was the reveal at the end of the story when Jack confessed the real reason he married her. I won't give it away, but it felt hugely unrealistic and out of character based on what I knew about Jack from the rest of the book. Overall though, I thought this was a nice warm hug of a romance where a grumpy guy warms up to his ray of sunshine fake wife.
