Mary Jane by Jessica Anya Blau
3.0
┌───────────────┐
premise
Mary Jane starts to babysit for a neighbor’s kid and there she meets and finds the family that she wants to belong in. And she also discovers a lot of things about herself.
╔═.✾. ═════════════╗
tldr / long story short
It’s been a month since I’ve read this book and to be honest, I won’t be able to tell you much about it. I remember having a good time but also wishing that it already ended. Still, I think it is a bit different and more explorative than other coming of age stories.
┌──────────────────────┐
initial thoughts
This book has been on my TBR for as long as I could remember. It was marketed as something like Daisy Jones and The Six and yes, I did get that with the vibes and a bit about the narration. Better as an audiobook.
