I'm struggling to put my thoughts into words. Moon of the Crusted Snow was the perfect apocalyptic novel. Rice beautifully sets each and every scene of this bleak, but hopeful novel that quietly educates its audience. I'm so glad I saved this incredibly snowy and devourable novel for winter. I would 100% recommend for people who love a breakdown of society novel, with starkly realistic characters you'll become quickly attached to and no real explanation of what went down.
