Revenge in Rubies by A.M. Stuart

3.0

This book dragged very badly in the middle. It was still somewhat enjoyable, but significantly less so than the first book. Worse still, the mystery and motivations were rather weak in the first book and made even less sense here.

The atmosphere and historical details (although I cannot properly judge their accuracy) remain the most interesting aspects of the series.

I am not thrilled about the progression I am seeing, but since this is only the second book I have read by this author, I probably will give this series another chance in the future.
