talusan's story is certainly a unique one, and I really appreciated seeing her unique perspective and experiences with race, manhood, womanhood, and privilege as a trans Filipinx albino person. I do wish she had unpacked some of her experiences later in life more for us as readers, and I almost think more exploration of her life after transition between the early 2000s to the 2020s would have been maybe more mature and nuanced. however, as a whole I did enjoy learning about the unique complexities of talusan's life, and I appreciate her sharing her story.
