This was a really good continuation. I don’t know that it was as strong as the first book, but I really enjoyed getting to see Nassun’s side of the story. I also enjoyed seeing Essen come into her power and start taking on the quest that Alabaster posed to her. I feel like all the character relationships got much stronger and more visceral in this book!
