WOW. This book completely blew me away. I was gifted it and had not heard of it, but was told that it had been a lot of bookish friends’ favorite YA contemporary of 2018. I went in knowing nothing beyond the vague blurb, and I highly recommend going in blind. This is such a lovely, heart wrenching/heart warming story that really pulls you in and has you invested in these characters. They are so raw that you really deeply care for them, which is something that always makes or breaks a book for me. It is also so SO refreshing to see different male friendships portrayed in such a real way. Some heavy topics covered, but it is so beautifully done. I devoured this book in practically one sitting and I have not stopped thinking about it since. Highly highly recommend.
