Lots of character development, which I love even though you will not necessarily like any character in this book. At times they are loud stereotypes of their economic class or age, and other times they have extremely problematic or confusing motives. It worked for me, I recognized the qualities of the characters within people that I have known in my mid twenties. The ending is very Shakespearean and quick, that’s all I’ll say and I’m sure a lot of people dislike the ending for that reason, especially after the extensive character building and plot implications. But the ending was my favorite part, this is why I have such trouble recommending books to anyone!
