On Writing Well: The Classic Guide to Writing Nonfiction
by William Zinsser
informative
slow-paced
Zinsser’s early chapters emphasize eliminating clutter and simplifying writing, yet his 303-page book is filled with repetitive, lengthy sentences. It could have been condensed to 50-100 pages. I found his numerous examples excessive and wished he had followed his own advice to simplify. Despite this, the book offers valuable advice amidst the unnecessary content.
