I felt like this was somehow a letdown after the first book. It started off quite slow and then everything else felt rushed. Not enough detail on Shazi learning her magic, breaking the curse, or the sultan's daughters betraying him. There were some sweet moments with the characters' relationships, but not enough to make up for the rest.
