Bound by Vengeance (Ravage MC Bound Series #3) by Ryan Michele

1.0

This feels a bit lacking compared to the previous ones -- maybe that's due to being set in a different mafia so the familiar characters aren't around to support the story and/or maybe it's because the "first time" scenes in the other books never felt as close to rape as this one did. The entire relationship between Cara and Growl seems purely physically-based but not in a convincing way, Gianna and Matteo's relationship was more convincing and even they had their problems. Cara and Growl are together because they have to be, she's given to him, but then their relationship progresses--if you can call it that--because…reasons? By the time we get to the end and Growl makes the decision he makes and Cara feels the way she at least says she feels it's kind of like "oh, whatever", I've long since stopped believing what the characters say about each other because they never give any convincing reason for it, it's like even they know what type of book they're in and they're just going along with it as well. I only really kept reading to the end because I liked the sisters' stories, but even there the quality felt like it slipped as we went from one to the next. I was interested in Fabiano's story but given the quality of this one, now I'm worried.
