✨ARC Review✨

Double Barrel is a stand alone contemporary romance set in the small town of Red Mountain. Wedding planner and member of the Ledger family, Elyse and newly returned deputy sheriff, Dominic were childhood sweethearts and the small town throws them together again after years apart.

This has a dual POV and takes place in both the past and the present. We get to see Elyse and Dominic’s love story from their teenage years along side the events of the present.

I love a good mystery and in addition to being a fun yet emotional romance, this novel also has a major mystery plot line. I’m a huge fan of books that weave these two things together and this one was very well done.

I also highly recommend Rare Blend, which is the first book of the Red Mountain series. While it’s not required to understand the events of Double Barrel, there are a number of ties into the story which follows Elyse’s brother Ethan.
