Tremor by Teju Cole

3.5

My return to reading novels (if this even counts as one) after 2 years in the academic trenches, which I miss.

Sincere, fragmented, internal, tender. Maybe pretentious at times for some, but, again, honest through it all.

Like many others, the chapters from Lagos stand out for me - ". . .every city looks to me like Lagos"
