This was my first, but will not be my last book by Elle Jordan! I love me a cowboy romance, even better when they’re a bull rider.
I thought this was a cute story. I love an accident turned best decision ever, and this one gave me just that. Both characters had baggage from their past. Things they’re trying to work past with no help from others. I loved the forced proximity in this storyline. The longer you’re in close quarters with a hot cowboy, the quicker your walls and morals come down.
Maverick is every woman’s dream. He’s a bull rider, loyal to those he loves, and overall sweet man from beginning to end. Watching this man fall for her was so intoxicating. He fell HARD.
This story isn’t all unicorns and rainbows, there’s so emotional moments in this story. Ava has to work past her trauma from her past to be a good ER nurse, and she also had to decide if this life was one she could handle. I felt the author did an amazing job giving us the background of both characters over time .
The found family vibes of this story was everything you could want. They accept Ava with open arms and take her under their wing. They stepped in when needed and gave Maverick the kick in the butt he needed to stop making stupid decision. Loved the banter and the sweet moments between the family.
If you’re a fan of good banter, forced proximity, great spice, and an overall sweet story, add this to your TBR. You won’t get disappointed!!
