I Hope This Finds You Well
by Natalie Sue
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this book!
This deals with themes of
- loneliness (especially in the adult world)
- feeling “not good enough”
- parental expectations
- the exciting sparks that fly at the start of falling in love with someone new
-the general exasperation I’m sure most people have felt at a job that isn’t exactly their favourite (office based or not).
This tale is rich and beautifully written, relatable, sassy/impatient/exhausted main character tone of voice without feeling hateful or annoying or unlikeable, and was just very engaging to read - I was invested in the side characters just as much as the main character!
Recommend if intrigued by a bit more thoughtfulness and reflection than your average cosy romance and/or want to vicariously live all your intrusive office thoughts…
