How To Undo the Proud Billionaire by Joss Wood

5.0

In the jewel-like setting of a South African resort, billionaire Radd hires Brinley to fill in as the florist for a society wedding. Brin finds out too late that the bride is her sister's rival. Brin plans to finish the work as soon as possible and stay out of sight of the wedding party.

But Radd has other plans. He never lets women get under his skin, but there's something about Brin he can't resist. He convinces her to spend the week with him in the resort's private quarters, away from the prying eyes of the guests.

Brin knows that a calculating man like Radd won't fall for a straightforward woman like her. But somehow, she manages to see behind his defenses. Is there a chance the two of them could have a future? And what happens when Brin's relationship to the bride is revealed?

I loved the high emotion and sexual tension is this book. It's something of a slow burn, with Radd being careful not to pressure Brin into something she's not ready for. The main characters are both children of narcissistic parents and so can relate to what the other has suffered. The book is a quick read with a satisfying ending.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.
