Black Panther and Wakanda from many angles
There's a lot of variation, from at least three different creative teams, in the stories collected here, highs as well as lows, enough to prove that Black Panther belongs in elite company as one of the greatest superheroes of all time. From the zany pulp of Kirby's iconic run that begins the volume, to the ambitious commentary on apartheid of the Gllis/Cowan miniseries that ends it, this feels much more three-dimensional and vibrant than most comic books of the era.
