The Battle of the Labyrinth
by Rick Riordan
This one was definitely a favorite from the series so far - i think THE favorite actually. So much happened! No more silly traps, just badass warriors. i really loved the maze’s ability to move all over the place, the various missions happening at once, and the multiple complex relationships (esp. w the additions of quintus, nico, rachel to some degree, calypso for reals, mrs. oleary, briares, paul, and the answer of pan! - wow so many amazing new characters!)
I really loved seeing Nico’s evolution in this one, as well as the more human sides of many of the gods. Poseidon at the end made me smileee :) also Mr. D... I love a seemingly bad character that reveals themselves to be good in the most vital moments.
Also, Grover & Tyson’s sweet relationship. I am over Annabeth & Percy being weird though... it’s time.
Can’t wait for the final book of the series. Expecting to see some epic moments and hopefully important returns of characters like Thalia & Nico, as well as more god-time.
4.5!
