I'm a fan of Lauren Layne's work so reading this was a given. Unfortunately, I didn't like it as much as I have others. I liked Matt and Sabrina in Hot Asset but in this one, they felt off. Sabrina was still pretty intriguing but lacked something I can't put my finger on. And Matt was kind of annoying in that cocky, I'm-a-boy-genius way. They didn't feel fleshed out enough to function well together. The story was entertaining enough - there was never a question I was going to finish it - but I wasn't drawn into it the way I have been with others.

It's solidly okay. And now I'm off to the next one in the series!
