Eiger Dreams: Ventures Among Men and Mountains
by Jon Krakauer
Unfortunately now this book is a little dated for me- describing famous climbers from 1950s-1980s is a little underwhelming. From this book, I learned I am far more interested in the logistics of climbing expeditions (where do they get the money for flights, extreme cold weather gear, tents, bivouacs, and climbing gear?), than in the history of climbers conquering famous summits. Last 2 essays were the best essays.
