3.0

This rating is really 3.5 stars for me. It would have been 4, maybe even 4.5 if not for the ending. I have to admit, I like books to be tied up with a neat, little bow at the end. This was not a satisfying ending for me. The writing was great, and I like the way it was told—alternating chapters between a crime podcast about the events and the MC telling the events as they happened. Very clever and relevant with the popularity of true crime podcasts. I just would have liked more in the ending.
