I really liked the whole series, but this one stands out to me because there is more magic involved. We see the Demdji and Djinn flex their powers and we can see how the magic works. ✨ I love that throughout the series you keep learning how it works, and the author does a great job of bringing it all together here.

Also in typical Hamilton style, we get some great reveals/surprises. Which is my favorite thing in a book. I also liked the relationship developments better here than in the second book. And then she subsequently kills a bunch off and you have to deal with that emotionally lol.
