Sarah Lingate was found dead in Capri thirty years ago, and her wealthy family was suspected. Now, her daughter Helen returns determined to finally find the truth…

This one took me ages to finish, but I promise it was the result of my own uncooperative brain and time management skills, and not the book itself, which I really enjoyed!!! This was equal parts lush and sinister (those White Lotus comparisons are spot on) and I really enjoyed the resolution in particular. I LOVE the “rich people behaving badly” trope, and this one leans heavily into that for sure.

I switched to audio about halfway through because of the aforementioned issues with time, and really loved the audio production, which helped suck me into the story even further. All of the narrators did a great job, and it made the entire book feel even more atmospheric and gripping.

A great summery escapist mystery/thriller with some epic family drama!
