Ugh. Admittedly, Troy is one of my favorite movies and I don't know much about Greek mythology.

This book just wasn't for me, I guess! I thought getting the female perspective from differing sides of the conflict would be interesting and add more depth to the myth. This....didn't do that. I don't know if it really added anything to the existing mythology because the story didn't really add anything. Yes, the characters offered different perspectives but it just didn't matter. The characters felt flat, uninteresting, and non-essential to the world at large. I know at the time women were placed in a role of being non-essential, but as a book focusing on these women, I was expecting them to be more lifelike; captivating; important. This seemed like a story that just...didn't need to be explored. :/
