How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind: Dealing with Your House's Dirty Little Secrets by Dana K. White
5.0
This book was a perfect example of the right message finding me at the right time. I don’t think anything she said here was particularly groundbreaking, or even totally new to me. But something about the way she explained it, and the place I am in my life to receive it, was kismet. It just clicked. I know none of these things are new concepts because I find myself repeating them to others or getting ready to write down my key takeaways and I fell a sense of deja vu - I feel like a walking cliche, but I want to caveat every time with “no! but I actually mean it this time!” or “no no, I know these are the same words as everyone else, but when I say it I mean something different!”
Implementing even some of the easiest tips she gives here have changed my home literally overnight. The project mindset, dishes math, visual clutter, container theory, TPAD - all concepts I'd never been able to put into words or conceptualize until now. The way she explained everything was the first time I'd really felt like having someone in my brain addressing the way it actually worked. I felt completely called out, but with so much kindness and empathy.
