Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

4.0

This was a very, VERY slow read for me but not because it wasn't interesting, it's because of the many characters that it was a bit a lot to process and remember them and whether they could be trusted or not. This is definitely one of my weak points when it comes to reading. Aside from that, Rebel of the Sands was engaging once you get half-way through the story. The legends that Amani spoke about kept me interested because they connect with the events that happened and some of the characters that showed up. Also, this book talked about how hard it is to be a girl. Amani can hardly be taken seriously because she's a girl and it sucks.

I thought this was a stand-alone but I'm glad it's not because after that ending, I'm surprisingly looking forward for the next book.
