morganhwagner 's review for:
Damnable Grace
by Tillie Cole
I decided to write a more detailed review, mostly due to the fact that oh my goodness!!! doesn't do the book justice.
From reading the previous Hades Hangmen stories, I was already expecting a fan-fucking-tastic book, and Cole delivered. If you haven't read the rest of the series, then what the fuck are you doing with your life?
So to persuade you more, here's a quick look from book one to book five....my style.
first It Ain't Me, Babe

then there was Heart Recaptured

oh and Souls Unfractured

then a wtf Deep Redemption

and now Damnable Grace

and let's just say there was a lot...lots....and lots of

Filled with taboo, cults, and lots of dripping sweaty fucking this was just another cherry to my already delicious sundae! I love authors how write the truth and don't give a fuck about labels or hurting emotions. These characters are real, and they have real life issues, issues in which we ignore. With this it makes the story even more fabulous but also delicate. You hurt when they hurt, and feel their pain. I usually don't think about characters on a personal level, but shit, you have to.
So with Damnable Grace we read the story of AK and Phebe. Two seriously fucked up people, who are disasters apart, create a beautiful painting together. They both save themselves from each other and it's heartbreaking the shit they go through but bring themselves to peace.
I have always given Cole 5s mostly because her characters are so relatable. She understands that the world isn't unicorns and lollipops, and her characters know that first hand. I have recommended her books since I started reading her novels, and I have always been gifted with excitement and 'what the fuck' moments.
Okay, here's the FINAL COUNTDOWN
steamy: 5s
naughty language: 5s
fuckable characters: 5s
final: 5s
bye babes
