Hammad´s style is to the point as well as poetic, and I love the way she mixes proza, theatre and text messages in this novel. I particularly like how the theatre play gradually becomes a main character itself.

And of course, this book tells us so much about Palestine and Israel, and about the impact of the occupation, on all levels.

``Haneen once compared Palestine to an exposed part of an electronic network, where someone has cut the rubber coating with a knife to show the wires and currents underneath. She probably didn´t say that exactly, but that was the image she had brought into my mind. That this place revealed something about the whole world.´´ (p 131)

That is so true.
