Another awesome book by Thomas. This book is important in that it gives African American Youth a book that is for them. This book isn’t trying to be anything else, and it was a pleasure to read about Bri and her beautiful family. I think THUG was a book that everyone needed/needs to read, but I think this one is for those kids who get tired of there never being any books about them on the shelves at school. If you can’t read this book and acknowledge that it’s not for you.... you shouldn’t read or review it. Especially if it clouds your ability to review it sans bias. Angie keep writing these books, keep giving these characters and their families to today’s youth. These stories are important and you are one hell of a storyteller. 5/5
