When I finally dragged myself into reading this one, I was expecting to be bored and irritated by a Japanophile author geeking out over her own yaoi fantasy taking place at the Geeks' Thunderdome, Anime Expo. I was so very, very wrong!

From the very first paragraph, the story had me. It sucked me in and immediately made me sympathetic to the characters, who were down to earth and realistic. I enjoyed both main characters equally. Both were very well developed and never once broke character. The story's humor was dry and witty and never over done. The suspense was fun and engaging. The romance was lovely and played out really well. I am so glad I got out of my own way and read this. A nice long read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The single quibble I had with this story was the scene in which Rory looks up to find a clock in Vegas. Pfft! Everyone knows there are no clocks in Vegas. And that was it! The only nanosecond of being tripped out of the story. Otherwise, I was seat-belted in and completely along for the ride. And I loved every moment of it!
