Quick synopsis

Jordan knew all her life that she is an Omega, however, she did not present causing everyone around her including the pack she loves and her family to think that she is a Beta. Her three childhood friends (whom she loves and wants to be their bonded) leave and later lie to her saying that they found their Omega.
later in life, when Jordan is 32 and successful in her career, still strongly believes she is an Omega so she seeks out medical consultation. Enter Alpha Dr. Icarus Valentine who immediately believes her and that triggers her Omega
a coincidence reunites her with the guys who discover that she is their scent mate
and queue in their grovel to get her back

What I liked

🔅 I loved the concept of an older Omega. Usually these books have her at 18 or 21ish. Jordan was 32.
🔅 Jordan is strong willed. She had a hard time at first with rejection, but she picks herself up, and make something with her life while still maintaining her believes.
🔅 She is not celibate pining and waiting on her guys. She explores her sexuality.
🔅 She did not give in to BBS. considering this is an Omegaverse book and the mate bond is very hard to resist, she put in quite a fight to make them grovel to her
🔅 I liked that the pack-bond between the guys was broken because of their stupid but understandable choices
🔅 Usually, in these types of books, there are some kind of family/friends interference where they are pushing the FMC towards forgiving. There was something like this here, but it was done in such a tasteful way that it improves the story

🔅🔅🔅 I absolutely looooooved the Scientific aspect of the story. This is a Paranormal fantasy where the characters and the world is a make-believe. However, when authors use science and medical terms to explain the world, this is when they have me.

Spoilers for the grovel

At first, I was furious at the guys. Why didn't they just take Jordan even if she were a Beta. But then I read Athena's story (which I am hoping we get her book) and I kinda understood why they did what they did.
Each of the guys functioned differently
Simon left because he didn't agree with their decision and sought out Jordan keeping an eye on her from a far
Cyrus wanted to prove that his decision was right by going into Omega meeting but knew deep down that Jordan was the one for them
Rafe was just floating through life without Jordan and Simon

when they reunite, I thought the grovel was decent (could have been better)

🔅literally on their knees begging
🔅sending thoughtful gifts and reminders
🔅puplic announcement of love
🔅accepting her bonding with Icarus
🔅being all about her from there on
🔅taking on her name

I did find Cyrus a bit douch but that was his personality. We cannot have all of them be the same!

What I didn't like

- The spice scenes were an overkill. Once they got together, we lost the plot and the smut dominated. I started skimming and skipping
- I wanted more retribution for Lanie. what she did was despicable. Some would consider Jordan stupid for trusting her but I didn't. Jordan lost her family and pack and practically everyone did not believe her when she said she was an Omega, even her therapist. So it was natural that she gravitated and trusted Lanie at first.
- As much as we got a lot about the guys, Rafe was overshadowed to his sexuality. I love representation in books but to reduce a character to just that is not it.
- I did understand why Jordan wanted to stop being an Omega, but it sounded childish to me.
- for characters who are in their thirties and forties, they still acted like teenagers.

still, it was a very good B&G book
I think I will read book 1 and wait for the duet
