2.5. I’m too old for a lot of the advice and commentary, having already lived through a lot of her “stuff” and found my own wisdom. I’m not particularly religious and didn’t connect with the continuous Christian referencing...but I can’t fault an author for speaking from her authentic voice. A better editor would have cut the repetition that occurred several times in the book. This wasn’t the best read, and I won’t recommend it to my circle of friends...BUT there were some good nuggets, I’ll use some selected quotes in my prenatal and postnatal yoga classes (good support for new parents!), and I did smile and even chuckle a few times at Hollis’s wit and light-heartedness. She writes with good intention.
