"Margrat wondered what it was like, spending your whole life doing something you didn't want to do. Like being dead, she considered, only worse, the reason being, you were alive to suffer it."

My first Discworld novel, after reading Good Omens early this year. I quite enjoy Pratchett's humor but I must admit a lot of it is lost in translation (me not being a native English speaker and all that).

Unfortunately, only 4 Discworld novels got translated to Portuguese and they are exceedingly rare to find these days.

Also, I was completely unaware of it being a sort of parody of Hamlet, on account of me never having read Hamlet. So that's something I need to fix. Still, I enjoyed the theater references and the way Pratchett writes about the authorial process.

(note: I bought Equal Rites as well, but I think I'd like to try out a Discworld novel focused on the character of Death)
