Who Fears Death by Nnedi Okorafor
5.0
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. And it takes a lot for me to enjoy a book at this point in my life. If the author doesn't hold my attention...if the dialogue doesn't sound right..I am putting it down. This story drew me in. I enjoyed reading a sci-fi/fantasy novel with a post apocalyptic setting that featured a black girl as the main character. Rarely do we get to see this in this genre. And yes I have read Tananarive Due, Octavia Butler, and Nalo Hopkinson. I am happy to say I can now add Nnedi Okorafor to this list of intelligent black women writing speculative fiction.
