I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I loved most of the characters and how complex the relationships were. I like that Mickey always broke the tension, so it was hard to find any of this story as scary or stressful as it probably would be. I did find it slightly jarring that the world building was mostly done every other chapter with Mickey info dumping, but I still liked learning about the world.
It made me ask interesting questions like "what would push someone to want to colonize another planet if they're leaving a perfectly fine one behind? Could I be happy spending the rest of my life with a group of people the size of my HS graduating class? Threesome or foursome? and How long does it take for a copy to become an individual?

It's a fun little sci-fi cleanser and I'm glad I read it before seeing the movie.
