This book wasn’t what I was expecting when I started reading it and it wasn’t as good as I was expecting but there was something enjoyable about it. This book did have originality to it.
Simon was not mentally stable and Jack was a complete psycho. Instead of it being a “I’m going to be a school shooter” book it’s a mystery, a who dun it, but it also took the time to address gun violence in schools which I felt was an important addition to the book. I loved that Addy became strong and got a voice as the story went along. By the end of the book I liked each of the Bayview Four when I didn’t really like any of them in the beginning.
I was really rooting for it to be the teacher and I was a little disappointed when it wasn’t.
