A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

5.0

This book made me giggle, and fall in love with them all over again.

Really enjoyed the cute Christmas special that Sarah has blessed us with. It was such a lovely in between war and drama and issues and problem solving.

We got to see them rebuild the city and help their people after so much was destroyed and so many lost. Feyre finding her soul in painting again and finally wanting to figure out her purpose after the war. Ending in opening up her own paint shop for anyone who would want to come and learn, so precious.

Azriel kind of opening up a smidge in this book. We never get any of Azriel but we did get some and slowly seeing how much he cares for Elain and how Elain cares for him. Nothing crazy, all very subtle but she bought him the cutest gift for solstice.

The snow ball fight ritual between the bat boys, Ryhs getting kicked out of the sauna for talking to Feyre in his mind LOL, Feyre trying to help Nesta and get her to join their family and deeming her needing time and doing it on her own.

Elain finally opening up and becoming herself again. Everyones gifts for eachother was so sweet even though Nesta is a little ungrateful snob who needs to love Cassian already.

Amren getting used to being in her normal Fae body with little magic. Learning to eat real food, use the bathroom lmao and finally having her little love story panning out.

Ryhs low key finishing with the thought of his and Feyres future son in his mind, um what? Like I get it, the though of Feyre having his baby but like, weird.

It was such a cute in between book truly. Just being able to see them somewhat normal and they go about their lives without having to constantly be on their toes, worrying about threats. Ryhs gifting Feyre a plot of land to build them an actual home and having full reigns to design however she wants was so sweet. And having it right in Velaris as well. It truly is becoming a home there, for all of them together. Except Nesta, she's moping and angry.
