I love Robin McKinley, and I love fairy tales. I'd wanted to read this book, and I went onto my library's website and saw it was an everyone-read ebook here in San Francisco, so I quickly borrowed it. I'm saddened to say that I was too bored to finish. I got about a quarter of the way through the book, still in the first story, but I could not continue. These aren't really reimaginings, and they're not really dark like original fairy tales. They're just ok. I think maybe these would be good for children.
